Ekweremadu named anti-corruption ambassador by EFCC

The EFCC ( Economic and Financial Crime Commission) named the deputy senate president (Ike Ekweremadu) on Tuesday, the anti-corruption Ambassador due to his strong support for the fight against graft.
According to the statement by the special adviser to deputy senate president, Uche Anichukwu, National Assembly Liaison Officer of the EFCC, Mr. Suleiman Bakari said ”I on behalf of my Acting chairman, Mr. Ibrahim Mustafa Magu and the entire staff of the EFCC, decorate you as an Anti-corruption Ambassador and formally present you this frame, as a token of our appreciation to your person and office, and as a symbol of institutional partnership between the EFCC and the National Assembly.”
Bakare however appealed to the National Assembly to adequately fund the agency and advocate speedy passage of the Anti corruption bills before it.
Ekweremadu however called for special Anti corruption courts establishment to reduce regular court burden and fast track the trial of corruption cases.
